Gladys Brinkley Linschoten

Gladys was born on January 31, 1926 to Ralph and Ella Mae Harper Brinkley in Boswell, Oklahoma. She attended public schools in Oklahoma.
Gladys married Chris D. Linschoten on November 1, 1944 in Durant, Oklahoma. At the end of World War II, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. They had no children. Gladys worked for many years in the Utah State Treasurer’s office. She was an avid gardener, loved to hunt, and made great cakes.
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents – Ralph & Ella Mae Brinkley, her husband – Chris D. Linschoten, and brothers – Edward and Ray Brinkley. She is survived by a sister – Helen Brinkley Pattillo of Atlanta, Georgia, brother – William Brinkley & Betty of Atlanta, Georgia, and brother – James Brinkley & Lydia of Las Vegas, Nevada, along with several nieces & nephews, friends & family.
A viewing will be held at 1:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary, 2350 E. 1300 S. on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 pm at the same location.
