Nancy-Ann Woffinden Epperson
02/06/1952 - 09/01/2017
Nancy-Ann Woffinden Epperson was born February 6, 1952 to Vernon and Beth Woffinden, the baby of the family and the only girl.
She graduated from South High School, and soon after met the love of her life Shelby Epperson. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 4 children, and her posterity is her legacy.
Nancy was a nurse by profession, and a helper by nature, as she loved giving service and kindness to others. After 40 years of dedicated service in nursing, she retired in 2011 due to health complications. The rest of her life was devoted to loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. She died September 1, 2017 due to complications of lung disease.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Shelby, and three older brothers Danny Woffinden, Gary Whittacre and Sam Woffinden. She is survived by children Anne (Steve) Wolfe, Jeremy (Dasha) Epperson, Meisha (Mike) Jensen, Trenton Epperson, grandchildren Tanner Wolfe, Audrey, Emma Wolfe, Bryson Jensen, Sebastien Epperson, Bridgely Wolfe, Tristan Epperson, Elias Jensen, and Ammon Jensen, her brother James Jarrard (Ruth) Whittacre, sisters-in-law Lois Robinson Curtis, Connie Rigby and Joann Whittacre, and many other relatives and dear friends.
She had an immeasurable love for her children, their spouses, and her grandchildren, and they were what she lived for. Nancy’s children would like to praise and honor her for a life well lived, and for being a most loving, giving mother. She lived the best life that she could live. She served everyone that she came in contact with. She never loved with anything less than her whole heart. We, her children and grandchildren, will always honor and cherish her name. Nancy will be missed by many.
Our heartfelt thanks to all of the dedicated staff at IMC RICU for their care of Nancy for the past three weeks.
