My daughter Lola was in Becky’s class. She loved her and has been heartbroken from this loss. My deepest heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Becky, please know that our hearts and thoughts are with you through this extremely difficult time.

Our son William is in Mrs. Wykstra’s class this year and he is just devastated. We were so thrilled when we found out our son had Mrs. Wykstra, she was such a good teacher and she was able to help William succeed in class, and had the patience necessary to teach her class. We are so saddened to hear of this news, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Wykstra family.

My son and I are so sad to hear of Mrs, Wyksta’s Passing. She helped build up my sons confidence when he was new to Taylor three years ago, He had no friends and he was nervous about school in 6th grade not knowing anyone. And I remember he came home after his first day and had nothing but great things to say about his amazing teacher and how “AWESOME” she is. She kept that up all year and he loved her dearly. She was so positive and loving. She will be missed by our family. She will never be forgotten as the best teacher my son has ever had, God bless your family during this hard time.
— Courtney Doxey

Becky was my daughters teacher last year and was an angel. It was her first year back to public school after homeschooling. My daughter was excited to go to school each day and Becky made her feel loved, important and successful. She will always hold a special place in our hearts. May God bless her family with peace and strength.

Becky was one of those teachers who makes a Principal’s job really easy. She loved her students and cheered for them to succeed. She has left a lasting legacy at J A Taylor and in the lives of so many students. She will be missed here tremendously. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. Thanks for sharing her with us.

My dear friend Becky. I was honored to work with you and to have you be my son’s teacher, twice. I am saddened to know the loss you leave behind for the many children who will not know a better teacher. Yet, I am comforted to know that you will be met someday by those whom you have loved the most here on this Earth. You will be missed. Thank you for the wonderful life you lived.

Mrs. Wykstra will forever be my favorite teacher. She was almost like a second mother. This is one of the saddest things that have happened this year. She will be missed by everyone. She was so loveable and she made everyday a good one no matter what. I send my condolences and comfort to the family.

We wish we could be present to help celebrate Becky’s life with you tomorrow but Steve is still suffering effects of chemotherapy and Wally is still recovering from injuries sustained during a recent trip to Samoa. We do send our love and heartfelt condolences for your beloved wife and mother. She will certainly be missed by many; however, she had a more important assignment in the spirit world that could not be postponed longer. She will linger in your hearts and minds, as she sacrificed for you, provided her best example to you and nurtured you; these and her other qualities will enable you to grow, develop, survive and succeed in your futures. Your Father in Heaven has blessed you with her and will continue to bless each of you in ways that will amaze you.

To David, Ric, Laura and all of Becky’s brothers. . .
I am so sorry for your loss of a beautiful mother, daughter wife and sister. Becky accomplished much in her life and was always on top of things. She died the same way my husband, Gordon, died, and it’s so very difficult to understand how life can be snuffed out so quickly. I’m sure your understanding of our life after this is a great consolation, and it will help you through all of the days ahead. May you find the peace you will seek, with love, Linda Liddle

It is times like this that we look back and are grateful for the eternal friendships you have made. Becky was always a great friend, so kind, so tender, and so happy. I remember spending many hours at her home as we played together as young children. I remember one time being at her house and she cut my hair so that I could have bangs :). Becky always had cute hair and I wanted bangs just like she did. She was a joy to walk to the bus stop with and to talk with on the phone. I saw her as she finished up her Elementary Ed. degree and we were able to catch up on life and family. She loved her children and was dedicated to the gospel. I feel extremely blessed to have known Becky and to have felt her influence in my life. She has wonderful parents, husband, and brothers who will do everything they can to wrap their arms around Her children and comfort them during this difficult time. I love you Laura I am so sorry you lost one of your very best friends for a while. One thing I know is that you will be together again as an eternal family. What a sweet friend Becky was to me. I will miss her. Nannette Barton Simmons
