Wesley Charles Rosander passed away on December 19, 2021, in Denver, Colorado. He was born on June 28, 1967, in Van Nuys, California to Joseph Rosander and Barbara Lanier. He married Allison Van Dyck in San Jose, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They divorced. Later he married Lona DeRieux in Alameda, California. They later divorced.

Wesley was an Elder in and a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He always loved serving in the wards and communities he was in. He loved being out in nature fishing, camping, hiking, and especially loved when he could spend time at the beach and when he could go off road in his Jeep here in Utah. He loved to golf and bike and staying healthy. One of Wes' great loves was dogs. He loved Great Danes and owned 3 in his lifetime. His dog at the time of his death was Sebastian. He was a constant companion and a lifesaver during a difficult time. Sebastian has been re-homed to a wonderful family and we know that would make Wes very happy.

Wes loved learning and was a hard worker throughout his life. He worked in landscaping as a youth and young adult, and then went to school at the U of U and graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He then went on to law school at George Washington Law School in DC and obtained his degree in patent and intellectual property law. He practiced law in Salt Lake and in California. The last couple of years he had been in Utah working with a team of investors in the hotel industry using his degree and carpentry skills.

Our family appreciates all of the wonderful help and concern that we have been shown by family and friends at this tender time.

Wesley is survived by his mother Barbara Lanier, father Joseph Rosander, sister Pamela (Timothy) Giblette, stepbrothers David Lanier, Philip Lanier, John Lanier and Brian Lanier, stepsister, Susan (Jeremy) Young, sons, Zachary and Noah, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his stepfather Jerry Lanier, beloved grandparents Robert & Florence McIntyre, aunt Debra McIntyre, and uncle Bruce Hood,

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, January 24, 2022, at the LDS Chapel, 4845 South Woodhaven Drive, Taylorsville, UT. A visitation will be held from 11:00 - 11:30 am prior to the services. All who attend are invited to a luncheon in the building after the service. Interment Larkin Sunset Garden Cemetery

Guestbook/Condolences

I send my condolences. We were friends in the Saratoga Ward. He came with the Elders Quarum to help me as I am a widow Later He used more skills helping me with some projects, even stayed at the house one week to take care of my little dog when I went out of town. My little dog loved Wes. Wes was loved by all. I am so saddened by this travesty. Rest In Peace!

I'm so sorry to hear about Wes' passing. He was a fun and good friend when he was here at our firm, and I always enjoyed my interactions with him, even the limited times after he left. I know he went through a lot of turmoil, and I'm very sorry to hear about this recent turn of events. Best wishes to Wes's family - Mike
