Rob was born in Salt Lake City, the son of Robert B. and Ruth H. Hardy. He attended the University of Utah where he received a BS degree in Speech Communication with a minor in History and Theater. He later attended Brigham Young University where he worked on a master’s degree in broadcast journalism. After college, Rob taught and coached at Granger High School while doing internships at the local television stations. He moved to Casper, WY for ten years where he was a Sports and News anchor for the CBS television affiliate, and also taught Speech and TV and Radio broadcasting at Natrona County Junior High School.
Rob and his family moved to Logan, UT where he did radio and TV broadcasting, including live remote broadcasts for businesses and sporting events. He also started working for Utah State University broadcasting football and basketball. He has been doing this for over 20 years and is currently doing the public address announcing for the Aggies. During his time in Logan, he also sold radio and television commercials, working with a number of clients in creating a marketing plan and producing their commercials of which many he voiced over.
He has always felt it a privilege to serve others whether in business or in the many church callings he has enjoyed. He has a natural ability to love and serve others and enjoys those opportunities. He has been serving families in the funeral business for over five years. This includes taking care of preplanning for people, as well as taking care of their needs after they have lost a loved one.
Rob is married to Jaleen Flygare. Together they have six children and seven grandchildren. He loves the opportunity to be with them all as much as they can. Rob enjoys reading, golf, college sports and traveling, especially with the love of his life Jaleen.
He loves being in the funeral business and feels it a great blessing to work for Larkin and the mission they espouse. With his experience with people and sales, Rob is fully qualified to take care of your needs, in the very best way he can.
