Gerardo Ismael Olivieri, 83, was born June 17, 1934 to parents Luis and Leonides Olivieri, and passed away on September 30, 2017.  He left a wonderful legacy and love behind. God needed him and wanted his son home early. Even though he was diagnosed with cancer, he never let the unsettling news show and would not allow his family to fade away in sadness. He was the most jolliest of men you would have ever known. Even till the end, he had a smile on his face and was surrounded by his loved ones.

He was famous for his jokes and childlike humor. His everlasting love and support for not only his children, but also his grandchildren. He had a heart so big and selfless, he made anyone feel as if they were the most important person in the world. He was the kind of man who made friends for life, and stayed in touch with each and every one of them.

He was an educated man in many fields and aspects, who was always willing to pass on his knowledge and to teach anyone who would listen. He was famous for his comedic homemade family films and pictures that said more than a thousand words. You couldn’t expect anything less than amazing with him. He was always telling stories and entertaining others. He collected the most peculiar of things, you couldn’t help but love them and wonder in excitement to see what new treasures he would have waiting at home to show you. He met the love of his life, Luz, in New York City on Christmas Eve and was the happiest man, he will always be with her for Time and Eternity.

Survived by his wife of 62 years, Luz Olivieri, Five children; Diana, Gerardo L., Leonor, Ismael, Eloisa; sixteen grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
