  • Dick, Scott, Becky, Tom and Suzanne,

My heart goes out to each of you as you lose your eternal companion and mother. Carma was truly an amazing person to our family! Just weeks before her passing she was serving us in our time of need, bringing us food, treats, gifts, and cheering us up when our Larry was so sick. In fact, when we moved into your neighborhood she was the first one to welcome us with a beautiful basket filled with homemade bread and soup. So back then and all the years in-between, we have seen her serving. What an incredible example! I will miss her beautiful smile, her wonderful cooking, her beautiful neighborhood showers and parties, and her sure testimony of the Savior. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

  • Carma was such a light in my life. She was my YW President. I was a struggling youth unsure of myself due to a weight problem. As I chose to loose weight, she would cheer me on every week! She’d tell me how good I looked, every week how much I had lost that week. Such an advocate and emissary for good! Sending our love!

  • Saddened to hear of Carma’s passing. We enjoyed our brief friendship with Carma and Richard through common Kuching, Malaysia friends and missionaries.
Thank you for your loving ways.

We are so sorry for your loss. Your mother’s obituary allowed us to see what an amazing woman she was. May your sweet memories of her sustain you in your loss.

  • I talked to Fern Van Orden yesterday to tell her about Carma’s passing. She was so sad but told me so many happy stories about her and her Christmas nut crackers, beautiful home and gracious hospitality. Fern is in The Inn at a Barton Creek, a Bountiful retirement center. Her eyesight is almost completely gone but she had happy memories of Carma and Woody, as do all of her friends, me especially.
