Driving was in dad’s blood. Out of all his jobs the one he loved the most was driving for Gray Line Sightseeing Tours. He traveled all over. He had a vast knowledge of the country and could tell you many interesting facts. As he interacted with many people who he came to love and appreciate over the years, they in turn expressed love to Fred for his loyalty and friendship. From this he was able to increase his relationships and knowledge as he served them. Dad was a resident of California for 37 years. Dad loved to play golf and go bowling. He was a member of the Elks Club. He was the Exalted Ruler in Pomoma Elks Lodge 789 in 1996 – 1997, and then again in 1999-2000 as Exalted Ruler in Buena Park Elks Lodge 2046.
Fred married Edeltraud Eisert; later divorced. Married Eulalie Austerlade; she passed away December 13, 2018.
He is survived by his children: Marian (DeeVoy) Tucker, Ruth (Stephen) Oliverson, Steven (Iris) Huxhold, Karen (Alden) Carroll, Brian Huxhold, Roger Huxhold and a sister Lynn Goff, 67 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren.
