Jerry Snasel, age 88, doting husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away on Feb 2, 2019 with his children by his side.  Jerry was born Sept 10, 1930 in Summerdale, Alabama to Frank and Emelia Snasel.  He had 3 brothers and 3 sisters.  Jerry met his sweetheart Irma while he was serving in the military and stationed in Puerto Rico. They married on June 24, 1954 and later joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were later sealed in the Provo, Utah temple.

Jerry served in the Air Force for 20 years and in the Civil Service Department of the Air Force for another 20 years.  He was known for his work ethic and was always willing to do the hard work it took to provide for his family, often taking on extra jobs.  He was an extremely dedicated husband, and the main caregiver of his wife for many years when she was not able to care for herself.

Jerry was preceded in death by his eternal companion, Irma, just 16 days prior.  He is survived by his children, Michael (Ruth) Snasel, and Sandy (Matthew) Romney, and grandchildren, Carli (Donny), Mary (James), Michael (Hannah), Kristin (Craig), Jared (Lauren), Jacob (Danielle), Sarah (Alex), Hannah (Brandon) and 19 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 W 12600 South Riverton, UT.  A visitation will be held from 11:30 to 12:45 prior to the funeral services.

Interment will be at Camp Williams cemetery, 17111 S. Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale.
