  • Jim was my dear friend for 35 years and even though I knew he had had some health issues in the past, I was shocked to hear that he had passed. When I talked with him a few months ago, his most recent checkup made it sound as though he was as fit as ever. I had hoped to be able to travel from my home in Michigan to Utah this summer so that we could do another outing. He was a good man, who it was my extreme pleasure to have known. He was one of life’s rare gifts. I’m sure many others feel the same. He will be missed. I only wish I had learned of his passing earlier so that I could fly out and participate in tomorrow’s celebration.
