It is with regret and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mother, Patricia Ann Hutchings. Mom passed away on November 23rd, 2019 at home in Lake Forest, California. She was with loved ones by her side, and her beloved dog Taz, at the end of the bed.

You will be happy to hear that mom’s final weeks were full of love, joy and laughter. Once her condition got worse, she did not endure any suffering and departed very peacefully.

After the holidays, we will focus on getting together for a celebration of life in mom’s honor. More information to follow. In the meantime, those who wish to visit mom can do so at Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake City, UT.

Mom is safe and resting with her daughter, Roxanne, in the mausoleum just like she requested. Flowers may be sent to Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary in Salt Lake City (please contact Larkin Sunset Lawn for instructions) or in lieu of flowers, feel free to send a donation to any of mom’s favorite causes: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital ,Laura’s House, or We know that would touch her heart.

We have set up this site in hopes that family and friends have a way to have some closure with mom’s passing. Please feel free to post memories, pictures and your thoughts on this website for everyone to enjoy. The most important thing to our mom was the love she had for her family and friends. She, along with us, wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and bright New Year!

Love, Brian, Bambi and Taz

  • I am Bambi, I am my mom’s first born.
My mom just wanted children. Mom,
    married very young.
She was a child raising kids.
She was full of life and love for her children.
My mom had 3 girls 1 baby boy.
One of my sisters died from cancer before she was 2.
She was my mom’s second child. In my opinion death of a child for a parent is devastating.
My mom was only a child herself.
Mom and dad had my third sister Kandi and then her baby boy Brian.

Mom and and my sister are united, in spirit and now in heaven. This was my mom’s wish to be buried with: my sister that passed from cancer in Salt Lake City, Utah.

This was very important to my mom.
Taking care of this has lightened my load and makes me happy for both of them.
I’m glad their both celebrating 😘 in heaven.

My opinion about my mom’s quality’s:
Over protective, loyal, always happy, compassionate,
quick wit and lots of sarcasm.
    Mom’s ocean blue eyes sparkled.
Everyone that knew my mom loved her.
Always Smiling with a very direct message.
My mom was a people person.
She loved everyone and everyone loved her.

    Mom Loved us unconditionally.
She allowed us to become our own people. Mom was respectful of my life path.
Mom taught me family values and morals.
I’m sure my written spirit comes from my mom.
    My mom was adopt.
    with her passing.
    I now know it’s true.

My mom loved her parents and never searched, to find out about her blood parents.
My Grandfather her dad was a man of little words.
    Mom loves the Holidays.
I decorated inside just for her in
Nov. 2019 and as I have for the last 10 years.

    Now with her passing.
I sit in the family room with all of her christmas treasure, now and it’s missing her spirit and laughter.

My mom was a business owner.
My mom never graduated from high school.
My mom was savvy and charming all at the same time.
My mom was a very strong woman.

My mom loved her garden, her dogs, all of them and her grandchildren and the great grandchildren too.

Mom wanted to be at her home surrounded by her
loved ones and her dog, Taz in her final moments.
Mom was where she wanted to be.
I feel very honored and proud of my priceless time together with her.

I will always Love you mommy 💖

For me fulfilling my mom’s wish list, and final requests and protecting her rights, was a blessing,
    for both of us.
My labor of Love, ty Brian for all of your help.
☮ and a lot more Love
    your oldest daughter:

  • I am so lucky I happened to be in So Cal back in September with work and had time to stop over and see Aunt Pat. She was recovering from her hospital stay earlier but we had so much fun talking about old times for hours and she asked about everyone was doing back in Salt Lake.
I can still hear her laugh and calling me Bradee, she will be missed and I feel very lucky to have had her in my life.
