  • Pam, I am crushed to read of sweet Pauls passing. What a kind, happy, caring, loving man. Never did I see a frown upon his face. He brought peace to many. Thank you for sharing him with us all. All my love & prayers to you & your cute family. God Speed.

  • Times like this are always very difficult….however, sometimes we need to take a step back and really be thankful for the times and moments we have together.

    I know Paul because of our incredible friends Phil and Heather, whom we have the pleasure of living next door. Over the years, I have many conversations with Paul and Pam. One thing I think everyone knows about him…is he was always up for a great conversation (even if he was just talking at you!), telling a joke or playing with the kids.

    Recently, I was at a UofU Hockey game with Paul, Phil and our kids. Paul was in well….Paul-Form. What does Paul-Form mean? He was having a GREAT time. Talking to everyone around us, telling funny jokes, asking if I was going to be yelling at the refs tonight, pulling candy and treats out of his pocket, taking photos with the mascot and selfies with Phil, and playing with the kids. Genuine happiness. He was spreading it. He was oozing joy this night. It was a blast to be hanging with him. Just this past weekend , I ran in to him walking out of Phil’s house…think he was taking the trash out. He saw me and gave me huge big smile and asked how it was going? He just made me smile standing out there just by his big smile, warm welcome and his wave.

    It’s aways hard for us to say goodbye when our loved ones shed these “earth suits” and depart for whatever journey we believe is next….but I wanted to share the comfort I feel, knowing and believing Paul was in a good place. He was happy, he was enjoying life…he was present in the moment.

    Gonna miss seeing him and his smile. Much love to the Cochrane family! You have a good one in this gentleman!

    Celebrate him and remember him….I love this poem for us all to always remember:

    Do not stand at my grave and weep
    I am not there. I do not sleep.

    I am a thousand winds that blow.
    I am the diamond glints on snow.

    I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
    I am the gentle autumn rain.

    When you awaken in the morning’s hush
    I am the swift uplifting rush

    Of quiet birds in circled flight.
    I am the soft stars that shine at night.

    Do not stand at my grave and cry;
    I am not there. I did not die.

    Godspeed sir!
