Ceidie Gudrun Lovisa Stromberg returned to her Heavenly home to join her beloved family on May 8, 2026. She was 91 years old.

Ceidie was born January 10, 1935, in Vasa, Finland. She married Stig Axel Stromberg on June 18, 1955. They have six children: Roy (Connie), Robert (Bonnie), Christine (Brent), Monica (Mike), Susanne (Eric), and Steven (Natalie), 27 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Nils Fredrik and Anna Matilda (Ingard) Eriksson, her two older sisters Gunnel and Berit, her daughter Christine Jenson, and grandson Chase Stromberg.

Ceidie and Stig and their children immigrated from Finland to Utah in 1969.

Ceidie has been a wonderful mother and grandmother to her family, and a faithful and pioneering member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since her baptism in Finland at age 17. Her husband claimed that she was the first native Finn woman to be sealed in a temple. Her church service included many callings and four senior missions—three to Sweden and one to Finland. She loved to sing and was a very talented artist, seamstress, and an exceptional homemaker.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 15, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 12101 South 700 West in Draper. The funeral will be livestreamed via Zoom and can be accessed by clicking the “Watch Services” button above.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens (1950 E Dimple Dell Road in Sandy) on Thursday, May 14, from 7:00-9:00 PM. An additional viewing will be held immediately prior to the funeral from 9:00-10:45 AM.
