In Loving Memory of Colleen Griffiths

Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend to all, Colleen Griffiths will be deeply missed.

Colleen Griffiths passed away peacefully on June 28th, 2026, at the IHC hospital in Murray, Utah, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 30th, 1956, to Ross Terry and Helen Andrus.

Colleen had a passion for baking and sewing, and had a lifelong love for animals. She found joy in caring for those who could no longer care for themselves and, in her later years, formed many cherished friendships at Alta Ridge Assisted Living.

Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She treasured the letters they sent describing their adventures and daily lives in Germany and eagerly looked forward to reading each one. Colleen also enjoyed fishing, found peace and happiness in nature, and cherished family vacations, especially in San Diego, where she had the time of her life.

Colleen is survived by her sons, Adam Amendolito (Wendy), Daniel Johnson (Ginger), James Jensen (Jeanette); her four grandchildren, Cortan, Dresden, Enric, and Kolden; her siblings, Shauna Fowler (Mike), Barbara Barton (John), Blair Andrus (Teresa), Glenn Andrus, Leilani Andrus, and Dale Andrus (Ramona).

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Griffiths; her parents, Helen and Ross Terry Andrus; her grandparents, Ida Faye and John Mellor, George Everett and LaVerna Andrus; her brother, Allen Andrus; her sister, Dawn Andrus; her grandson, Michael Johnson; and nephew, Arron Barton.

Please join us in celebrating Colleen’s life on Saturday, July 4th, 2026, at 11:00 am at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah 84092. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:00-11:00 am at the same location.

Colleen will be remembered for her compassionate heart, her unwavering kindness, and the warm hugs and kisses on both cheeks that made everyone feel loved. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
