Darlene Kaye Palfreyman Visser, age 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother. As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm, loving home. She gave so much of herself to the people she loved and found her greatest joy in making sure her family was cared for and surrounded by love.
Darlene met the love of her life, Kenneth Julius Visser, and they married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 15, 1958. She was the beloved mother of four children, Michelle, Julie, Lynn, Kemra, and a treasured grandmother and great grandmother to many. Her family was her greatest joy, and she loved spending time with them, celebrating their lives, and making lasting memories.
Her LDS faith was an important part of her life. She loved church and found great meaning in serving others and being part of her church community. Her faith was reflected in the kindness, compassion, and generosity she shared with those around her.
She also treasured her friendships deeply. She was a loyal and devoted friend who cherished the relationships she built throughout her life. She loved the laughter, conversations, memories, and companionship shared with those who meant so much to her.
Darlene had a deep love of nature, especially the beauty of the fall season. She also cherished the Christmas season and the warmth, traditions, and togetherness it brought to her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Lavina Palfreyman and her beloved husband, Kenneth Julius Visser. She is survived by her four children, Michelle (Kenny) Flinders, Julie (Ray) Young, Lynn (Camille) Visser, Kemra (Jason) Lamborn; her grandchildren (12) and great grandchildren (13).
Her love, kindness, faith, friendship, and memories will remain in our hearts forever. The life she built around love and service will continue through the family and friends she leaves behind.
Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate the life of Darlene.
A viewing will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., with an additional viewing on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
The funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at:

Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
