Gregory Edward Johnson, 65, of Riverton, Utah, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 30, 2026, with his family by his side.

Greg was born on August 27, 1961, in Payson, Utah, to the late Fred and Deanna (Taylor) Johnson. He was the devoted husband of Traci Johnson for the past 30 years.

Greg graduated from Spanish Fork High School with the Class of 1979. Baseball was one of Greg’s greatest passions. He played for his high school team for three years and carried his love of the game throughout his life.

After high school, Greg continued his education at trade school and became an electrician. He went on to own and operate his own electrical company for 28 years. He took great pride in his work, and the dedication and love he poured into his career will live on through the many memories he created and the stories that will continue to be shared.

Greg also had a deep love for the outdoors, especially fishing. He found great joy in spending time on the water, whether fishing at Strawberry Reservoir or enjoying the beauty and adventure of Alaska. These moments in the outdoors were some of his happiest, and the memories he made there will be treasured by his family and loved ones for years to come.

Greg also enjoyed cooking and loved mastering the art of barbecue. He took pride in creating delicious meals and sharing them with his family and friends, making good food and great memories along the way.

In addition to his wife, Traci, Greg is survived by his children, Macord Johnson; Christopher Lamb and his wife, Chelsie; Jenifer Shepherd and her husband, Derrick; Spencer Lamb; and Braeden Johnson. He was a loving grandfather to his six grandchildren, who brought great joy to his life.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Deanna Johnson.

Greg, thank you for loving us the way you did. Your love, laughter, and memories will stay with us forever. You will be deeply missed every day, but you will always remain in our hearts.
