Ruth Janeen White Forsyth returned to her heavenly home on September 8, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She is now at peace and reunited with those she loved who had gone before her.

Janeen was born on October 13, 1938, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Ruth Habbeshaw White and Dale Eldredge White. She grew up in the Millcreek area and attended Olympus and Granite High Schools, where she made lifelong friendships.

On February 19, 1955, Janeen married her sweetheart, Robert “Bob” Forsyth. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on November 19, 1955. Together, they built a life centered on faith and family.

Janeen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy. She was known for her spunky personality, generous heart, and ability to make everyone feel loved.

She loved gardening, making blankets for everyone, and decorating her home for the holidays. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life.

Janeen is survived by her sweetheart, Bob; her children, Terry (Renae), JoAnn (Ed), Allison (Bob), Michael (Teresa), and John (Kenna); 25 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Dennis (Sherry), Charlotte, and Debby (Blair).

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Hyo Copinga, daughter-in-law Debbie Forsyth, and daughter Shereen Forsyth Christensen.

Janeen leaves a beautiful legacy of faith, family, love, and laughter. Her family will forever cherish her spunky spirit, her beautiful creations, and the love she gave so freely.

Until we meet again, Mom. We love you and will miss you more than words can say.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah 84092. Visitation will be from 12:30–1:45 p.m. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
