Robert “Bob” Werner Lasrich II passed away on May 18, 2026, at the age of 74 in South Jordan, Utah. He was born on December 10, 1951, to Robert Sr. and Virginia Lasrich.

Bob was a proud Vietnam Veteran and served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Tripoli as a Gunner’s Mate (Guns) Third Class (GMG3) in Fox Division, where he maintained and operated the ship’s defensive weapons and small arms.

Following his military service, Bob worked for many years as a commercial truck driver, taking pride in his reliability and consistency. The work suited his independent nature and strong sense of responsibility.

Bob enjoyed the excitement of NASCAR and looked forward to race days, often making Sunday viewing part of his routine.

He is survived by his sister, Amy (Douglas) Jones; his children, Derrek (Samantha) Lasrich and Jennifer Larsen; his grandchildren, Derrek “DJ” Lasrich Jr., Dyllan Lasrich, Zachary “Dominick” Martinez, Michelle (Brendan) Centers, Brianna (Shawn) Mayhew, Belle-Adonna Gurule and Illum “Robby” Gurule Jr.; and his great-grandchildren, Draycinn Centers, Sawyer Centers, Stryder Centers, and Ellyse Gurule; along with many extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Virginia Lasrich; his sister, Khristina “Tina” Patterson; his granddaughter, Sydney Muenchow; and his great-grandson, Grayson Centers.

Bob will be remembered for his service in the United States Navy, his determination, and the stories he shared throughout his life. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

The family extends sincere gratitude to Bob’s former wife, Karletta “Karee” Coon, for the kindness and compassion she showed throughout his final days. Special thanks are also extended to Steve Larsen for his steadfast presence and support during Bob’s final hours.

In keeping with Bob’s wishes and personal style, family and friends are invited to attend in casual, comfortable attire. He will be laid to rest wearing his favorite NASCAR jacket.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary in Riverton, Utah beginning at 12:30 p.m. on June 3, 2026. Following the viewing, he will be laid to rest at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park in Bluffdale, Utah.
