Todd Tolman passed away on Thursday, 28 May 2026 at his home in South Jordan, Utah (Daybreak) after battling stage 4 colon cancer. He was born on 16 September 1962 in Redwood City, California and is the son of John Odell Tolman and Joan Ranck Tolman. He married Linda Kay Wright on 9 August 1990, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on 14 November 1992. They raised four wonderful children and cherish their four grandchildren.
Todd graduated from Hillcrest High School, where he was a member of the chess and golf teams, and these became some of his favorite hobbies throughout his life. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a B.A. in business. Todd was an entrepreneur and owned a successful business for much of his life. After selling the business, he worked as a business consultant and managed software development teams for many companies.
Todd was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found joy in serving in various callings throughout his life. He served as a missionary for the Church in the Missouri, St. Louis Mission (1982-83) and loved the people he met and taught about his Savior, Jesus Christ. Before his passing, he was serving in the North Shore 6th Ward Elders Quorum Presidency.
Todd loved his family and had great faith in Jesus Christ and the principles of His gospel. He loved being in the temple and felt great peace serving there. He shared his great love for the gospel with others and was willing and ready to testify of Christ and the things he had learned.
Todd is survived by his wife, Linda Tolman; his children: Brooke Stark (Devon), Danielle Tolman (Jared), Kaylee Aguirre (Jimmy), and Parker Tolman (Aspen); his mother, Joan Tolman (John); his siblings: Stephen Tolman (Jan), Leah Durr (David), Kathy Jones (Doug), Derek Tolman (Carolyn), Jennifer Allen (Spencer), and Tricia Leslie; and his four grandchildren: Brynlee, Jack, Rowen, and Jasper, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on 8 June 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South) in Sandy, Utah. Funeral services will be held on 8 June 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the North Shore 6th Ward chapel at 10344 South Kestrel Rise Road in South Jordan, Utah.
