Tyler Leigh Brinkerhoff

Tyler Leigh Brinkerhoff passed away peacefully September 7, 2026. Tyler was born June 3, 1997 in Logan, Utah, to Steven Leigh Brinkerhoff and Paula Linn Dawes. He spent his childhood in Herriman and Provo, Utah.

Tyler was large in stature and blessed with a gentle heart. He was kind, compassionate, and cared deeply for the people and animals in his life. Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor. He always had a witty one liner up his sleeve. He was always teasing the people he loved, but if anyone else picked on them, he would go to war for the people he cared about. He had a way of making those around him feel loved, safe, and protected. He was also quick to make even strangers feel like friends, making people feel welcome and comfortable wherever he went.

Tyler was blessed with many great friends. Tristin, Jayden, and his cousin Ben were always close by and ready for whatever adventure they could think of. Tyler loved spending time in the mountains, camping, fishing, shooting his guns, working on his Jeep, and playing golf. He had a special love for America and especially the Second Amendment. He loved the outdoors and playing video games with his younger brothers. His dog, Lucy, was the center of his world. There wasn’t anything Tyler wouldn’t do for her. The love he had for Lucy was a reflection of the big heart he carried for those around him.

Tyler loved all things sports and was a loyal fan of the Braves, Colts, and Utah State Aggies. He especially enjoyed golf and played on the Herriman High School golf team. Tyler graduated from Herriman High School in 2015. Following graduation, he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Bismarck, North Dakota Mission. After returning home, he attended Utah State University.

Tyler is survived by his father, Steve (Tecia) Brinkerhoff of Provo; mother, Paula (Jason) Berven of Herriman; sister, Emily (Tyler) Hoover; and three brothers, Elder Logan Brinkerhoff (Farmington, New Mexico Mission), Cooper Brinkerhoff, and Alex Berven. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Donna Brinkerhoff, Vickie Orton, and Linda Dawes. He will be deeply missed by many uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leigh Brinkerhoff and Frank Dawes.

We will miss your huge hugs, laughs, jokes, and the loyalty you showed to the people you loved. The countless memories you created with so many loved ones are now treasured. Your big heart is deeply missed.

Viewing will be held Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Larkin Mortuary Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South Riverton, Utah 84065

He will be laid to rest next to his Grandpa at the Herriman Cemetery Monday, September 14, 2026 for a graveside service at 11:00 am.
