” Bob the Builder” born and raised in Chicago, with a love for adventure; earned his International Ski Instructor Certificate in Chamonix, France; which brought him to Utah, receiving Professional Ski Instructor of America.  Long term friends came out of many years teaching skiing at Solitude, Alta, and Stein Eriksen Ski School.  The Great Lakes sparked a love of water, creating lifelong memories at Lake Powell with family and friends.

Bob loved living and learning throughout his lifetime. Earning his General Contractor License brought him to owning and operating his own company; REN Construction – a very honest and trusted name in this valley.  Bob and his wife Vicki, dedicated to changing community; motivated by the love of Christ, reached out to the “least of these” Christ’s sisters and brothers. Developed and built the non-profit Salt Lake Interfaith Hospitality Network – (homeless families sleeping in churches) – Converting the old Magna Post Office into The First Samoan Congregational Church – to recently teaching a YPREP Class – “Houses of Healing” at UDC Prison to incarcerated women.  “Banjo Bob” played gospel music at SFACC in the women’s prison, with longtime friend Jerry. Monthly gathering with friends to play Bluegrass and Gospel.  Bob learned the dobro at 81!

Great friendships thru Pickle Ball experiences took Bob and Vicki in celebration of the 25th wedding anniversary in Maui last year.

Survived by: Sons:  Robert K. and Kenneth J. Neumann – (wife Ruth) and stepsons: Charles A. (wife Wendy), Justin A. (wife Katie) and Tyler A. Bates.  7 well loved grandchildren: Jacob, Ariana, Katarina, Alyssa, Breanna, Wyatt and Scarlett.

Preceded in death by daughter Erin, father Robert K. and mother Agnus.
