Sheri Lyn Christine (Snideman) Lemley returned to her Heavenly Father on January 14, 2020.  She was born on September 24, 1969, to Richard and Janet Snideman in Southern California, and moved to Sandy, Utah at the age of 3.

Sheri was a kind and giving mother and wife of nearly 20 years to her husband Carl.  She loved to spend time with her family, especially her two beautiful daughters Hannah and Avree.   They loved to spend time together coloring, doing puzzles, and playing games.  She was a devoted mother and always put her daughters first.

Family was everything to Sheri, and she used every opportunity and excuse to have a family party.

Sheri found her passion for baking and decorating cakes. Together with her girls, many hours were spent in the kitchen baking, laughing, and making memories.

Sheri graduated from Culinary School as a Pastry Chef. She was a gifted artist, creating wedding cakes and other cakes for many people throughout her career.

She loved collecting Elvis memorabilia, giraffes, and Fat Chefs.  She continued her grandmother’s legacy of acquiring unusual and funny salt and pepper shakers.

Sheri had a way of touching everyone in her life for the better.  She will be dearly missed by all who know her.

Sheri is survived by her husband Carl Lemley; daughters Hannah and Avree; parents Richard and Janet Snideman; brothers Steve Snideman, Jeff (Sherrie) Snideman; sisters Susy (Wes) Peterson and Sandy (Phil) Christensen; and many nephews, nieces and great-nephews, and nieces.

Preceded in death by grandparents, a nephew, and great-nephews.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, January 21st from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens at 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 22nd at 12:00 pm at the LDS Church 8950 South 400 East, Sandy, Utah.  A family viewing will be held from 11:00-11:45 am.

She will be interred at Larkin Sunset Gardens, Sandy, Utah following the funeral services.

  • Carl Lemley,

My deepest and heartfelt condolence to you and your daughters for the loss of your wife and mother.

Sherie seemed like a very sweet lady. We really did not have any time to visit which I regret.

I worked in the Lucky Bakery with Sherie since mid November 2019. I fried donuts.

I really did not know her well but she was the quietest person in the Department. She seemed like a wonderful person to me.

Sherie gave everyone a Christmas Gift that was very beautiful in a tin. I love tins and I will remember Sherie.

I wish you and your daughters well.

    Marie Coester
