Steven Lloyd Cullimore passed away at his home on August 5, 2019 from a heart attack. Steve was born September 11, 1951 to Vernice and Lloyd Cullimore in Provo, Utah. He was premature weighing around 4 pounds and later dropped to 3 pounds. At that time, he was fed from an eyedropper. Under Vernice’s watchful and determined care Steve eventually grew into a healthy boy.

He attended Elementary schools at East Mill Creek and Rosecrest elementary. He attended middle school at Evergreen Junior High. Steve graduated from Skyline High School in 1970.

He served a mission to California from 1971 to 1973. He then attended Utah Valley Community College and later graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business. With his devoted mom as a partner, Steve became the owner and operator of Trolley Video for many years.

Steve worked hard to overcome some special challenges he was given in this life.  He was painfully shy growing up but worked hard to overcome these fears as he served a mission and ran a store.  He was a loyal BYU fan, like his father. He had an amazing love for Christmas houses and collected too many to count. In his family he was adored and loved for his smile, his infectious laugh, and his random outburst of singing. His nieces and nephews and his great nieces and nephews looked forward to his generous Christmas gifts every year.

Steve struggled for years with diabetes and kidney failure.  The last five years he spent 3 days a week at Kolff dialysis center at the University of Utah.  He loved the staff, and many became dear friends. Steve’s family are so grateful for the kind staff who diligently cared for him.

Steve was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  He served as a financial clerk in his home ward and stake level. He loved to serve the families he home taught.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Vernice J Cullimore and Lloyd L Cullimore.

He is survived by his three sisters and their husbands; MaryAnne (Paul) Linford, Margaret (Gary) Stevens, Christine (Bruce) Doan.

Steve’s nieces and nephews were extremely important to him; as if they were his own: Liz (Eric), Leslie (Jeff), Matt (Crishelle), Missy (Spencer), Jessie, Jake (Lindsey), Stacie (JJ), Nate (Mauri), Scott (Lindsey), Mitchell, Chad, Abbie (Eli), Josh (Bree) and 23 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 10th, 2019 at 11 AM at the Neff’s Canyon Ward, 4176 Adonis Drive, SLC, 84124.  A viewing will be held from 10-10:45 prior to services. Burial will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery.
