Afton Richards Kemp passed away on October 26, 2021 at the age of 91. She was a beloved wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was born April 13, 1930, in South Jordan, Utah and grew up in Magna. She married her loving husband Donald Lamar Kemp on March 25, 1954. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple. They enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling. She was Woman’s State Bowling Champion 95-96. She help run the family Mink farm along with her husband and three boys. Shopping was her favor pastime which she enjoyed until the end.
She is survived by sons Roger (Laurie) Kemp, Brad Kemp and Garn Kemp, 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren, and brother-in-law Shirl Kemp.
Preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Shauna, granddaughter Kara Lynn Kemp and husband Donald Lamar Kemp.
She was the sweetest most kind mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all.
Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in the Chapel of the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, located 1950 E. Dimple Dell Road (10600 S.) in Sandy, Utah 84092. A viewing prior to services beginning at 12:30pm. Interment to follow in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
