Annabelle Tavis Brown

1928 ~ 2021

Annabelle Tavis Brown (Ann Brown) (92) passed away peacefully Monday, February 1, 2021 at the Pacifica Senior Living Center Millcreek in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was surrounded by her children Tamara A. Spann and Timothy Fred Brown. Ann was born at home December 16, 1928 in Merlin, Oregon to Albert M. & Icy Belle Shoemaker Tavis. She was the youngest of four children, Fred, Violet, Iva and then Ann. Ann married the love of her life, Fred Lyle Brown on September 24, 1950 in a double ceremony with their best friends, Skip and Shirley Brecount, in Reno, Nevada. Ann and Fred made their home in Grants Pass, Oregon for many years and this is where their two children were born. Later they had many moving adventures while Fred continued working construction for Pacific Power & Light Company. Ann’s great enjoyments and hobbies in life were her family and friends, golfing, traveling and camping on the Oregon Coast. Survivors include her daughter Tamara Spann and Son Timothy Brown, grandsons, Jesse Spann (Erin), Jared Spann (Mercedes), Bryan Spann (Rachael) and great grandsons Theodore, Jackson, Calvin and Coleman Spann. Also, sisters-in-law, Ruth and Patty Brown along with many nieces and nephews.

Per Ann’s wishes, she will be cremated then later be placed next to her husband Fred, in Eagle Point National Cemetery in Eagle Point, Oregon. She has requested no services and would truly like for everyone to remember all the good times, family get togethers, wonderful friendships, and great golf games that she enjoyed throughout her life.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the charities of their choice or to the humane society in their area.
