Arlean Rose Buie Knowles passed away on October 12, 2021 after a long illness. She was born on April 11, 1935 in Upsher County, Texas to Reese Calhoun Buie and Thelma Lee Starks Buie. She lived in Texas, California, and then settled in Utah.
Arlean attended West High School and started dating her sweetheart, Charles Knowles, and they were married on January 7, 1954. They had 6 children together. They divorced after 20 years of marriage. Later, she also married Rudy Olchevski and they later divorced.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints all the days of her life. She took out her endowment and was so happy she did it. She was an active member of the Provo Edgemont 11th Ward. She loved her ward family and was grateful for their love and acts of kindness.
Arlean lived with her sister, Jean, the last 8 years of her life and enjoyed being together. Our family cannot thank Aunt Jean’s family enough for their help, love, and kindness they showed our mom.
Survived by her children: Kelly (Randy) Wall, Kerry (Ann) Knowles, Marty (Carolyn) Knowles, and Frank (Susie) Knowles, siblings Eugenia Manwaring, Lyn (Dick) Taber, and Reese Buie, 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her son Charles Jeffery Knowles, daughter Lori Jean (Steve) Nadelle and granddaughter Amber Trista Knowles.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 22, 2021 at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah.
