  • Barbara Jean Jacobson, age 67, passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2021, at her home in Riverton, Utah, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Barbara was born on June 14th, 1954, in Murray, Utah, to Robert Lyle Webster and Beth Ann Bushman, who preceded her in death. She grew up with a large family that always did a lot together, consisting of: Ann, Sue, Lyle (who passed away in his youth), Dana, Frank, and Wendy. She will miss their weekly lunches together.

Barbara married her best friend and the love of her life, Dee Lynn Jacobson, on September 14, 1972. They were happily married for over 48 years. She was a very active mother of 3 who was always busy with activities ranging from making crafts, bowling, her role as a PTA president, and helping others with their finances.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Barbara had a passion for traveling, oil painting, sewing, swimming, do-it-yourself projects, and going on long drives and adventures with Dee.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Dee, her three children; Angie (Stan), Amy (Brian), Adam (Natalee), and her six grandchildren; Brett, Lyndee (Derek), Kaydee, Gage, Baylee, and Maycee.

The family would especially like to thank the staff at Canyons hospice for their constant and attentive care. The family also encourages making donations to foundations dedicated to curing cancer in lieu of flowers.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah. A viewing will be held Monday, November 22, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the funeral at Larkin Mortuary in Riverton.

Those that are unable to attend in person may view the live stream by clicking the “Watch Services” tab to the right of Barbara’s picture. You will need to be signed into a zoom account in order for you to watch.

I loved working with Barbara at Webster’s. She was always interested in what I was doing in my life. We both decided to get a set of China from Grand Central and since it was open stock purchase, plate by plate, we loved seeing what other pieces we each each found as we would go back to gather more for our sets. And we were always letting each other know what else they stocked!! It was a fun bargain hunt!! She was always fun to talk to!! We got along great!! I am so sorry for her family. I know they will miss her greatly!! I am sure Bob, Beth and Lyle were right there to greet her with loving arms!!
