Lisa was born on December 9,1950 in Hayward, California to Earl and Jeannie Rupert of Santa Cruz, California.
By the time she turned 5, Lisa and her younger siblings were shipped to the Lena Pope orphanage in Houston, Texas, where they would remain for several years. Lisa and her younger sister, Gretchen, were adopted two years later in 1958, however, times were rough in their home, so she left as a teenager to find her way in the world.
As a young adult, Lisa had many fun adventures traveling the globe. She traveled to Europe, Morocco, Sri Lanka and was even a schoolteacher in Saudi Arabia.
Lisa had a passion for teaching children. She taught first grade and special education, however, her favorite class to teach was the three-year olds in Sunbeams primary class.
Lisa was a fierce mama bear who loved her family very much. She will be forever missed by the ones who loved her.
She is survived by her children Steve(Jamie) and Trina(Jon); grandchildren: Olivia(John), Samantha(Kort), Josh, A.J., Nicholas, Charissa, Casey, Kristen, Kenzie, Luke, Macie, Brock,Ty,Troy, Nathan Dale, Pam and Tommy( Nikki); Great grandson Gabriel; Sister Gretchen and nieces Tanya, Jean Marie, Katie, Julia and Joy and nephews Toby, Morgan, Josh and Jon.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay, both parents and sisters Carol Anne and Donna.
