Alan passed away peaceful on August 3, 2014 in West Jordan, Utah. He was born March 5, 1922 to Carl and Lavina Maser in Marshall Township, MI. He was a Technical Sergeant in the US Air Force. While serving in the military he had the honor of cooking for President Eisenhower. He retired in 1964 after 20 years of service. He married Reva Kay on August 6, 1945. They had two children. They traveled and lived in many states while serving in the military. Alan enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family up to six months prior to his passing. He spent the last 3 years of his life living with his Son's family; his grandchildren were the highlight of his day.
Alan is survived by his son, Alan R (Rachel) Maser Jr., son-in-law, Lyle Glover, grandchildren, Cindy (David) Walker, Robert Glover, Rick (Corrie) Glover, Becky (Shane) Heaps, Wendy (Sean) O'Neal, Nicole (Zach) Larsen, McKenzie Maser, Kolton Maser, Kaleb Maser, Sidney Maser, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, brother, George Maser, daughter, Sherrie L. Glover and great granddaughter, Michelle Walker.
Graveside services will be held, Friday, August 8, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday, from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens.
