  • Loving father, son, brother and friend, a resident of Salt Lake City, left this world suddenly on September 14, 2021, at age 50.

David was born to Marianne Hatton and Ronald Turner on April 10, 1971. The third of seven siblings, David was a wonderful brother and son. After graduation from high school, David met and married Tammy Turner on November 13, 1999, but his true happiness and pride came from being a father to Jessie and Tiffany.

Although he didn’t recognize his own worth, David possessed many special gifts including an ability to love and care for those in his life. The loss of his dear friend Adam Campbell left a void in David that affected him deeply. David stayed close with Adam’s family, especially his son Skyler Campbell. Always the first to lend a hand, David was there whenever you needed it. David always put others before himself. With an infectious laugh, a bigger smile and an all-encompassing bear hug, David was routinely the life of the party. David enjoyed boating, being with friends, hanging out at The Break Sports Grill, working on cars with his daughter Jessie and spending time with his beloved dogs Scrappy, Jager, Newton and Koda.

David had a passionate love affair with Chili Verde burritos, bud light, Jägermeister and the Dallas Cowboys. A loyal friend, David loved a good practical joke and spent a lot of time planning pranks on friends and family. Never to hedge on a bet, when his precious Dallas Cowboys team lost, David was known to strut around wearing only his Cowboy Jersey and thong underwear of the winning team.

Survived by his daughters Jessie and Tiffany (Nate) , parents Marianne and Ronald, siblings Steven, Shelley, Jennifer (Johnny, Elizabeth, Ethan), Bethany (Rowan, Bianca), Lance and Cambria (Mya, Emma, Leah) numerous nieces and nephews, Skyler(Sammie), Kenzie(Haydon) Tammy, grandkids Brydan, Lainey, Easton, a yappy dog named Jager, and an extended family of relations and friends from every walk of life, David will be deeply and profoundly missed.

Friends and family may visit during a viewing at Larkin Sunset Gardens Funeral Home, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, September 22, 2021 between 10-11 a.m. A celebration of life service will begin there at 11 am on September 22, 2021.

(Jessie on Dress code) The the dress code is however you feel. I know my dad would want everyone to feel comfortable. If you have Cowboys Merchandise especially wear that, it would make him happy. I love you dad more than you will ever know and hope we’ll meet again ♥️

We ask if you would, please wear mask.

The family would like to give a special thanks to David’s Kennecott team, his Break Sports Grill friends, and countless others for their kind thoughts and words, it has been appreciated.
