  • Samuel David Penner was born in Salt Lake City, UT on February 16, 2020. Samuel’s beautiful spirit and soul left us on April 11, 2020. Samuel will be remembered, and loved, by his surviving family, his parents Brooke and Blu Penner, his older brother Dalton, his grandparents Rosezanna and David Penner, Charlotte and David Hancey, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Even though Samuel was only with us for a short time, believe me when I tell you his beautiful soul and strong spirit taught us more about the pure love of Christ, and what matters most in this life. Lessons that usually take the rest of us a lifetime to learn.

We may not understand why things happen the way they do, or why Heavenly Father allows things to happen, but there is always a beautiful reason behind everything. This much we do know, Samuel David Penner was here.

Samuel had the most beautiful smile that would melt your heart. Samuel was too little to talk, but he seemed to communicate through his eyes. Can you imagine the things he would say if he could talk? I think the most important thing that he would say to us is “I Love You, I am still with you, I am your guardian angel and will be part of the rest of your life. This isn’t the end, it is just goodbye for now. Our family will be together forever. Goodbye isn’t goodbye, it’s just hello for a different day”.

Samuel, you have forever left your handprints and footprints in our hearts, may you rest in peace, in the arms of our Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, until we meet again. Hold onto that Hello for a different day.

A private family viewing will take place on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Larkin Mortuary – Riverton, 3688 West 12600 South, Riverton, Utah, from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at the Elysian Burial Gardens, 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, Utah.
