  • It is with heavy sadness that we inform you of the passing of Dmytro Luke (Troy). Troy was born on November 7, 1998. He passed away on February 13, 2021, in St. George, Utah.

Troy was working in sales at a commercial flooring company, which he really enjoyed. He attended high school in Herriman and went on to further his studies at Dixie State University. Troy was intelligent, outgoing, adventurous, humorous, and a lot of fun to be around.

He is survived by his parents, David and Lee-Ann Luke. He has left behind his siblings Krista (Cliff), David (Madison), Spencer (Maue), Ruth (Dakota), Zane, Anna, Ellen, Katherine, Nadia and Julie (Cody). He was an adoring Uncle to several nieces and nephews. He loved children and they loved him in return.

We aren’t sure how we can carry on without Troy. He will leave an empty space in our hearts.

Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 14398 South 6400 West, Herriman, Utah.
There will be a viewing on Friday, February 19 from 6-8pm and the service will be held on Saturday, February 20 at 11 am with a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am all at the church.

The interment will follow the services at the American Fork Cemetery. 26 West 600 North in American Fork.

For those of you who would like to watch virtually, it will be streamed live at the following link:

    Guestbook/Condolences

We have tender memories of Troy. He spent many hours helping us at our home and was always so thoughtful and kind. Troy was accepting of all and nonjudgmental, and always so willing to be a friend. We send our love and prayers to the Luke family. We pray you feel comforted at this time. We feel certain Troy was met with a warm embrace by the Savior, and was welcomed home with great love. He was a brave boy in his life. He will not be forgotten.

I was around Troy so many times and everytime I had nothing but admiration. He knew how to laugh and make you laugh. He was flamboyant, kind, attentive, and thoughtful. Everytime it was something new with him. He knew how to entertain but also comfort others. He was a jester but also a light. His smile light up a room. We truely lost a golden soul.

I will miss you Troy, I will see you in the next life.

I have fond memories of Troy. I have interacted with him many times: in the foyer at church, sitting next to him in priesthood opening exercises, doing service together at the Temple grounds, and other activities. I loved his sense of humor and his willingness to kid around with me. He was always good-natured and could always make me laugh. I'll miss you Troy!
