Donna Leah Rollo Sanns, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022. She was born on September 11, 1929 to Norman Lester and Emma Jane Allen Rollo in Salt Lake City, Utah. Donna attended West High School and after graduating she worked for the U. S. Government for many years as a secretary. Donna excelled in everything she did. Donna met her husband, James R. Sanns, in Denver, Colorado. They were married on October 19, 1953. She was later sealed to Jim on June 16, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Northern California then to Southern California in 1983. Donna was very organized and she was an excellent wife and homemaker. Donna was very active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of the restoration of the gospel. She enjoyed serving as Young Women's President and Relief Society President, along with many other callings in the Church.

After retiring, Donna served in the San Diego Temple as an ordinance worker. She served for 15 years then joined her beloved husband, Jim, while he was Director of the Regional Family History Center in Mission Valley, California. They served faithfully together from 2005 to 2008. Donna and Jim were able to travel all over the world and they enjoyed their travels and meeting interesting people. Jim passed away in May of 2009. They were happily married for 55 years. After Jim's passing, Donna moved home to Salt Lake City to be closer to her sisters, nieces, and nephews. Donna deeply loved her two sisters and her extended family. Donna truly endured to the end.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Ruth A. Malm, nieces, Debbie Malm Perry and Susan Galli Vatsend, and a nephew, Calvin Malm. Survivors include her sister, Mary Jane (Jay) Galli and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly and who dearly loved her.
