Penny was born in Idaho to Lee Ross and Ella Edrine Allred Scheid on 22 March 1967. She moved to the Salt Lake Valley in her mid teens and with a few exceptions the remainder of her life was spent here.
Though her life was extremly hard--from childhood on--Penny always wore a smile. Her passions included helping others and saying “I love you,” over and over and over again, each time she saw you. Penny’s talent in life was the giving of her infinate love and service every single day. Baking and cooking scrumptous dinners for our family was one thing that always made her smile. You could tell Penny was cooking up a storm because she always had a towel thrown over her shoulder and a huge smile on her face. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved her Heavenly Father with all of her heart.
Penny is survived by her daughter Melissa Scheid and son Bruce Price, her foster parents Ted and Diane Richey, and sisters Elizabeth/izzi Magee & Suzanne Tate. She is also survived by her biological siblings: April (Boyd) Hepworth, Ross (Carmen) Scheid, Melody (Scott) Mills, Becky Scheid, Jeff Scheid, Travis Scheid and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Wendy Scheid and her biological parents.
Celebration of life will be held Monday, July 6, 2020 at 10 am at the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road, Sandy, Utah.
