  • Ann Etta Jensen Terry, 89, of Salt Lake City, peacefully passed away on Jun 9, 2020 following a brief illness. She was born February 10, 1931 in Pocatello, Idaho to James Ebner and Sarah Robinson Jensen.
    Ann Etta graduated from Pocatello High School in 1949 and later received her nursing degree from the University of Utah in 1953. She worked at LDS Hospital for 35 years. She also worked for BYU for ten years as a clinical nursing instructor.
    Ann Etta married James Russell Terry on June 10, 1953 in the Idaho Falls Temple. They lived their married life in Salt Lake City. Ann Etta passed away the day before their 67th wedding anniversary and had a lovely celebration in Heaven.
    Ann Etta was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different callings. She also enjoyed attending the temple each month.
    Ann Etta is survived by her three children Curtis (Dora) Terry, Mark (Heidi) Terry, and Gaylene (Daniel) Butcher, and her brother James Byron Jensen. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren all who will miss playing games with Grandma.
    A viewing will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at 1155 North 1200 West, Salt Lake City, Utah in the south end Relief Society Room. Due to the Covid 19 restrictions the funeral will be limited to family members and a few invited guests.
    The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Intermountain Medical Center and Aspen Ridge East Rehab and Hospice Care for their loving service in her behalf.

    Annetta, was a very good friend and neighbor, she would call to say hi and she how things were going, especially after mom past. She is my last original senior neighbor.
