Tribute By: Michon Hebert

Our stoic, funny, sweet, caring, dog loving Foy left us in the morning of November 13th. Foy, despite not being biologically related to any of us, has been a rock in our family. Foy was the best grandpa to us grandkids and loved his great granddaughter immensely. He was an amazing stepfather to my uncle, mother, and aunt. He treated my grandmother amazingly, loving her unconditionally.

Foy and my grandmother, Hilary divorced several years ago. Foy, being the amazing man he was, continued to be an unwavering presence in our lives. He came to every holiday, every family gathering, and remained my grandmother’s best friend. Foy always had your back, no matter what, a true helper. He worked for Delta Airlines for many years, helping in his red jacket and exerting a calming presence. Foy adored all of the many dogs in his life. He was also a car guy, an out in the air secret known only to those closest to him. He’s going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.

His body may have left us, but I know his love will continue to live with us for the rest of our lives.

We will miss you, Grandpa.

Foy was a kind man who always tried to do the right thing.

The world needs more men like Foy

Foy was my friend for over 20 years. We worked together at Delta Air Lines and he always surprised me with his humor, often times a bit off color! We would sometimes get together and have lunch or dinner and just enjoy each others company and stories. I know how much Foy loved his dogs and how much they loved him. They were lucky to have such a kind soul to be their Dad. I was so happy when Foy retired so he could enjoy life without the work grind everyday. I surely wish he was still here to enjoy his life after retirement. He is gone too soon from our lives. He will be greatly missed.
