  • Our beloved father, husband, brother, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandpa passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020. He was 84 years old. He has now joined his beloved wife Pat, son Larry, grandson Tyler and his parents Herbert and Tedora and 10 of his siblings, a few of which he never met in life but now has the opportunity to meet them.

Gary served in the United States Army. Our dad was the greatest dad and grandpa anyone could ask for. He showed us how to be strong in hard times, how to work hard and earn our way in life. He provided us with anything we needed and was an example of what a dad should be. We love him very much and will miss every moment we shared with him. Dad, please rest in peace. You lived a very good life and we look forward to being with you again!

He is survived by his son Gary (Megan) Ashcroft, daughter Wendy (Frank) McCauley, his sister Carma and his loving grand, great and great-great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. Funeral services for immediate family members will be held Monday at 11:00 am with a private viewing from 10:00 – 10:45 am prior to the service. Everyone is welcome to join us for the graveside services at 12:30 pm.
