James Anthony Stratton passed away, surrounded by his family, on June 14, 2020 in Murray, Utah. He had a loving family, headed by Larry and Gloria Stratton in Bountiful, Utah on September 21, 1976. He married his love, Kelly Ann Stratton on May 23, 1998 in West Jordan, Utah and together, they had two sons, Anthony and Andrew.
James loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors, going shooting, playing on the four wheelers and side by side. Like his father and brother Dale, James loved fixing appliances. He loved going on long drives, running away to Logan, Utah for the weekend. He would help anyone in need and made friends wherever he went. He was a wonderful father and husband, and he never let his family forget that he loved them so very much.
James is survived by his wife Kelly, two sons Anthony and Andrew; his sisters Lynnette Hatch, Anita Salisbury, and Linda Salisbury; his brothers Dale Stratton, Rex Turner, Robert Turner, Dennis Salisbury, Chris Salisbury, and Mike Salisbury; and birth mother Patsy Ann Hatch. He is preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Gloria, his uncle Leroy, aunt Joyce, and grandparents.
A service will be held in his honor on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at Larkin Sunset Lawn (2350 East 1300 South) at 3 PM. A viewing will be held prior to services from 2-3 PM at the same location.
