Our loving mother grandmother and great grandmother, Janice Moore Stocks passed away peacefully on April 28, 2021 in Layton, Utah at the age of 80. She was born on July 12, 1940 to James and Bessie Moore in Salt Lake City, Utah where she grew up playing with three older sisters and attended West Hight School. She met the love of her life, Lyle Stocks, who had moved down the street and began to attend the same ward. She was sealed to Lyle in the Salt Lake Temple on February 14, 1964. Together they raised six of the most awesome children to walk this earth. Janice loved her family and was a loving, dedicated stay-at-home mother. Her days were spent caring for her children and providing for their needs.

Janice was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved the Gospel, and her faith was strong throughout her life. She was a Christlike example to her family, and shared the Gospel with them on many occasions. She served in many positions within her church with a special love for the Primary children. She and Lyle served two service missions faithfully.

She enjoyed traveling and in their later years, Lyle and Janice traveled to many places together. She especially loved traveling to Taiwan to visit Brian and Ping.

Janice is survived by Jedi Master, Brad (Cheryl), Brian (Ping), Lisa (Layne) Eyre, Rebecca (Loren) Mott, Chad (Sarah), Shaun (Denise). She had twenty-one grandchildren and three great-grandchildren with another on the way. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lyle, her parents and three sisters, Marylyn, Colleen and Diane. She missed Lyle immensely and is now joyfully reunited with him.

The family thanks the staff at Sunridge Assisted Living and especially Stefanie Reed, RN and Ashlie Soto, CNA for their loving and protective help during her final weeks.

A viewing for friends and family will be held in her honor at 11:00 AM at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 2350 E. 1300 S. in Salt Lake City after which a graveside service will be held at 12:30 at the same facility.
