  • Judean passed away peacefully on October 5, 2020 in her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on August 31, 1941 in Salt Lake City to Dorothy Griffith and Verdas Dick Johnson. Judean married the love of her life, Harry Blake Springmeyer, on March 22, 1965 in the Salt Lake Temple.

Family was the most important part of Judean’s life. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a mission to Perth, Australia in 1962-1963. Judean was a master seamstress. Throughout her life, she enjoyed painting ceramic figures. After the passing of her husband, Harry in 2006, she found comfort and companionship in her little dog, Pebbles.

Survived by her children Wendy (David), Blake (Debbie), Dean (Zoë) and Sandra (Robert); 9 grandchildren; and 2.5 great-grandchildren (one on the way); and sisters Dian and Shaunna. Preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her sister Constance Maloney.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 9th at 11:30 AM at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 S.), Sandy. Friends are invited to greet the family during the viewing from 10:00 to 11:15AM also at Larkin Sunset Gardens.

    To Judean's Family,
Dave and Betty send their love and sympathy at this time. We enjoyed going to Senior Citizens with your mother and spending time in our little study group. Although she always said she was shy, she was a lot of fun to do things with and was an active supporter of activities in our community. I'm grateful for the opportunities we had to take her on short rides and grab a hamburger and a milkshake. May you feel comfort and peace at this difficult time and may Heavenly Father bring blesssings and peace to each of you. With love, Dave and Betty Johnson
