Katey Darling, age 22 of Salt Lake City, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was born to Fe Darling and Robert Darling on January 21, 1999.
Katey was born in Seoul, Korea, moved with her family to Yuba City, CA and then on to the Philippines where she grew up and experienced her beautiful culture and heritage. She then moved to Salt Lake City with her family where she attended high school. There she excelled in her studies, achieving top honors. She was very artistic and had many interests such as music, arts, fashion and photography. She learned to play many string instruments, guitar being her favorite. She also sang and had a voice like an angel.
Anything that is rare in a cherished way, you would find in Katey. She was very articulate, friendly, positive, loving and thoughtful. Her kind heart and positive attitude gained her many friends that were positively influenced by her. She had a spirit that was full of life and grace so much so that she just glowed. She is the daughter, sister, cousin, aunt and friend that has everything that you can ever ask for from God.
Even in her untimely passing, she can be a positive example for others to live safely and life to the fullest.
Katey is survived by her mother Fe, her father Robert, and her sister Julia. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
My sincere condolences to you Fe, all of your family and all that knew and loved Katey.
