Linda Lee DuBreuil Morrow

Linda Lee DuBreuil Morrow, beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed from this life on February 13, 2021. She fought kidney failure, and many other ailments, for many years, before her frail body couldn’t fight any longer, and she returned to her heavenly home. Linda was born on January 23, 1960 in Van Nuys, California, to Bill and Carol DuBrueil. She was the second of four children, amongst Lisa, David, and Steven. She grew up in Chino Hills, CA, before settling in Utah as an adult. She married Dave Morrow in 1978, and had 6 children, before later separating.

Linda loved fiercely. She was incredibly proud of each of her six children (and in-laws), 16 grandchildren, and 2 (plus one on the way) great-grandchildren. She raised her 6 kids, Ben, Ericka, Kristin, Chad, Shaun, and Megan as a single mom, and poured everything of herself into them. Her will and desire was often superseded by those of her children. She loved being together as a family whether it was Sunday dinners with everyone, movie dates with a few, attending school programs or hanging out at home, having her family around her was everything. To many of her grandkids, she was lovingly called Baga, and had recently said she was going to start bribing the rest to call her the same.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and a longtime member of the Sagecrest Ward in the Sandy Central Stake. She loved her neighborhood and ward family, and was always so grateful for the love and friendships she felt and found there.

One of Linda’s proudest moments in life was returning to college in her late 30s and receiving her bachelors degree from the University of Utah. This moment represented her finding her voice, her footing in life, and her value as a human being. After receiving her degree, she was able to work for several years as a crisis counselor, the friendships and experience of which she spoke of until the end of her life.

Linda was incredibly stubborn, often to the dismay of her family, but that was simply the manifestation of her will to live, and her love of life. It didn’t matter how much pain she was in, she loved the simple, yet miraculous, fact that she was alive. She appreciated the little things that so many of us take for granted; feeling the warmth of the sun on her face, a trip to the grocery store, or waking up to snuggles from her grandkids in jammies. Some of her other favorite things in life were her cat Suri, listening to Tina Turner, walking along the beach, going out to eat, writing, game shows, laughing hard, being irreverent, ice water, and soft, cozy blankets.

Linda’s strength, determination, and love will be missed by so many.

Linda is survived by her six children, Benjamin, Ericka, Kristin, Chad, Shaun, and Megan; her in-law children Mary, Erick, Taya, and Zach; her grandchildren, Mackenzie, Cierra, Abigail, Caden, Olivia, Tanner, Gavin, Tyler, Dax, Oliver, Peyton, Bailey, Kaison, Lucas, Devyn, and Emree; her 2 great-grandchildren Coraline and Jasper; her siblings Lisa, David (Tracy), and Steven (Angi); and her father, Bill. She is preceded in death by her beautiful mother, Carol; her beloved nephew Jared; her dear friend, Linda Rodier; and her sweet dog, Winston, who passed just two weeks prior to accompany her on her journey.

A visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. Dimple Dell Rd. (10600 So.), Sandy. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 11:00 am.
