Shortly before 5pm on Sunday May 3rd, surrounded by her loved ones, Peggy Leland (71) passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer. Peggy fought with a tremendous amount of strength and courage, and despite feeling an immense amount of pain and discomfort at times, she kept a positive attitude throughout it all and wore a beautiful smile on her face while taking her last breaths. Peggy will be surely missed, as her loving, caring, and selfless nature touched the hearts of so many along her journey.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 47 years Ted Leland, sons Ryan and Josh Leland; daughter Kendra Olivares, son-in-law Rick Olivares, her grandchildren, for whom she shared a special bond with, Anthony and Isabela Olivares; and brothers and sisters Steven, Allan, Michael, Liz, Kim, and Lynn. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Albert, and her beloved grandson, Cameron Olivares.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later time and date. Contact family members for information.
