  • Patrick Gary Memmott was 58 years young. Born October 13, 1963, to Arthur Eugene Memmott and Maurine Verdell Kjelstrom.

Patrick’s passion was driving trucks; he got that from his dad. He went on the road with his dad at a very young age. He drove tow truck for 30 plus years, starting with Elite Towing, then Kearns Towing and last but also the best, Advanced Towing. Patrick made friends everywhere he went. The pull for the open road overtook Patrick to follow in his dad’s footsteps after his heart attack in 2014. He started his hotshot company so we could travel and make a living while he followed his dream. Times were hard and the truck we used (his baby) needed a lot of repairs, so we closed the business. Patrick continued his dream by going to work for Pride Transport for almost 2 years. He drove for 168 trucking. He last worked for Rapco Transport like his older brother, Ron. Always missing being home with the kids and grandchildren, they were his world. In every picture, he’s holding, playing, or working and teaching each one of them.

He married his first wife, Jill Deon Crawford in 1994 and had four children, Tasha (Alex Trujillo), Kaela (Michael) Mortenson, Devan and Darian Memmott. In 2000 he met his soulmate, his “everything” as he put it, Christine. They married in 2005 and put 2 families together to include CJ, (Lindy Ovard) Barto, Timmothy Barto, Tacie (Adam) Hunter, David Rice, Toniesha (Jake Powers), totaling 9 children. Patrick had 17 grandchildren that he loved very much. They would climb in his lap or follow him to Papa’s garage where toy fixes are free.

Patrick is survived by his wife Christine, 9 children, 16 grandchildren, siblings Thomas (Wendy), Bonny (Tom) McGarry, Mike (Kelly), Connie, Sandra (Patrick) Carver and sister-in-law Mary Ellen Memmott.
He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, first wife Jill, oldest brother Clayton, sister Susan, brother Ronald, sister-in-law Jeanie, grandson Xander, many aunts, uncles and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, January 24, 2022, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, UT. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and Monday morning from 9:30 – 10:30 am prior to the services.

I loved you like a father you and my aunt Christine(other mom) helped me through hard days and took me in when you didn't have to. You did alot for me and my life. I'm going to miss you. Even though over the last few years it's been distant my love and appreciation for you has never changed. You both are the strongest people ever ever know. I'm glad you allowed me to be apart of the family. Give Xander a hug and kiss from me. I love you uncle pat until we meet again.

I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of Patrick. My prayers are with his family. I enjoyed having him call me Aunt Becky, helping out with Duane's funeral and welcoming me into the family. He will be missed, but I'm sure he was welcomed home in heaven.
