Abigail Eva Rhea

2004 ~ 2014

Our amazing daughter, glitter princess Abigail Eva Rhea "Abi" earned her angel wings on Saturday, October 04, 2014 after a courageous battle with brain cancer that spread to her spine. Abi was born on May 17, 2004 to Boyd and LuAnn Rhea in West Jordan, Utah.

Abi loved dance, gymnastics and swimming, but most of all she loved to teach. Even after a full day of school she could be found teaching to her toys, sister or parents.

She had a smile that would melt your heart and an incredible ability to make everyone happy. Even with the physical and exhausting challenges of fighting cancer, she never complained. Abi loved unconditionally and found good in everything and everyone.

Abi's favorite color was glitter and pink. She wore pink almost every day and added glitter to everything. She even found ways to add pink and glitter to her school uniform of red and blue.

Abi will forever be in our hearts and the hearts of everyone she touched. She was the heart and soul behind Team Abi. We love you to Pluto and back Abi. Go and glitterize as you fly baby girl!!!

We would like to thank the amazing doctors, nurses, aides and child life staff in the Oncology, Rehab and NTU units of Primary Children's Hospital and the Radiology staff at The Huntsman Cancer Institute, for providing Abi with the greatest care possible and for caring so much about her. We would also like to thank The Mascot Miracle Foundation and Max Cares 4 Kids for making Abi laugh and smile as she fought with all of her might, and our amazing family, friends and community for their incredible support.

Abi is survived by: her loving parents, sister Autumn Rhea, puppy Ginger, gah gah Lou Bartholomew, uncle Larry Bartholomew, aunts; Carol Cook (Larry), Debbie Taylor (Burt), Kathy LeFevre (Frank), Vicki Roberts and many first, second and third cousins.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Larry D. Bartholomew and Boyd and Joyce Rhea.
