I can’t even tell how how sorry I am for your loss.. I had the pleasure of getting to know Remy at an OPIF event with my husband and we became close friends quickly. He just had a way of listening and talking that made anyone smile. We spent hours on horseback over a weekend and in that short time he taught me that I was much stronger than I thought I was.. I will forever cherish the time I spent getting to know Remy and my prayers are with the family through this tough time. Please know you are loved❤️

    Brad, Stacey, Austin & Ryan,

I consider myself honored to have been in your life's and enjoying many memories with each of you. Rem was naturally someone I looked up to growing up and I always aspired to be as great as him in sports and in social-settings. I wore Rem's football pads, I copied his football sleeve-wearing, and I respected him on and off the field. Your family has always been there for me and it will be forever appreciated.

I'm sad we no longer have Rem in our lives. Not too long ago I came over with my daughter Lyra and we swam in the pool for hours while Austin and Rem hung out with us. It was the last time I spent significant time with him and he was full of compliments as he enjoyed having my little one over. I'll never forget the childhood memories over the years. He was a good person and had a kind heart over his hardened persona. I feel lucky to have seen that side of him and truly know him.

I love you all and I'm sorry for the loss of Remington. He will live forever in our memories and our hearts and won't be forgotten.

    To the Russell family:
Words cannot express the sadness I feel about the passing of Remington. I was grateful to have reconnected with him later in our lives and to have gotten to know him in a way that he didn’t often let people see. He was loved by so many and will be remembered for so much. Thank you for raising such a kind and genuine man. I will treasure the memories I have of him for the rest of my life.
I will keep you all in my thoughts and hope that comfort finds you and all of us that are mourning the loss of such a beautiful soul.
    I’ll love you always, Remy.

    - Cheri Shepherd

There won’t be much I can say to heal the hole in your souls. Remy is and always will be an explosive being no matter what life it is. The passion and love that man carried with him is something I’ve always looked up to. He was my first true love and he always made sure I knew that, and though our lives separated, that connection was never broken. To the family, thank you for being his everything even when I wasn’t strong enough to stay, you all loved him fiercely and unconditionally. That was his favorite way of explaining the love he exuded, unconditional. Without attachment or expecting of anything in return. That’s how beautiful he was. Remember his love and light, it casts out the darkness, and it was a blessing to have been loved by him.
