Rigby James McCumiskey returned to heaven on September 15, 2021.

Rigby James was born on February 22, 2021, in Salt Lake City, to Nathan McCumiskey and BriAnna Reedy/Roelfs. He was a beautiful baby boy with a contagious smile. When he wasn’t busy wooing his nurses, he was enjoying his books, music, and mommy snuggles. Despite rushing into the world three months early, Rigby took charge and fought hard. He was lovingly nicknamed Tiny Mighty as he was born weighing only 2.2 pounds.

Rigby is survived by his father, Nathan McCumiskey, mother BriAnna Reedy/Roelfs, his older sister Alyssa Ditton, grandfather George Reedy, grandmother Lisa Reedy, uncle James Whitehall, (step) grandmother Jennifer Reedy, grandmother Shelley Anderson, uncles Jacob Henkle, Tyler McCumiskey, Isaac McCumiskey, and aunt Nikki McCumiskey.

Rigby will always live on in our hearts.

Deepest condolences on the passing of Rigby! In a too brief time, he showed us all how to take each & every day you are given, and use each hour of your time to give others only unconditional love, joy, and happiness. Though his passing leaves us all deeply saddened, we are consoled by the memory of his loving example, and the surety of The Ressurection of the Saved. This Angel has returned Home, and awaits us. God Bless Rigby, his parents, and all of his family, & friends.

Sending all of my love to you and Tiny Mighty, up in the sky. To all the loves he touches in big and small (though mighty) ways. He has the most contagious smile; this is so true. He certainly touched my life in many ways just living through both your and his experience in this world. It’s possible he is needed elsewhere and so he had to leave us after just a short time. My heart is with you both ❤️❤️❤️
