Verla M. Rich, “Grandma Kaye”, age 94, died on Sunday, March 14, 2021, in Parker, Colorado. She went peacefully in the presence of her two daughters and her son-in-law. She was born in Pingree, Idaho on December 28, 1926.
She and her sister, Mary Jane, rode their horse to school every day as school children. She started out as a nurse and ended up as a cosmetologist. She is survived by six children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Grandma Kaye was loved by everyone she met. Her charm, quick wit and funny, spontaneous rhymes were trademarks of her conversations. She never met a stranger without turning them into an instant friend. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren adored her.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 26, at 2pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, 1950 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah 84092 with a viewing 1 hour prior. Interment to follow at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
