Wally passed away Sunday Oct. 3rd, 2021, after a lifelong battle with mental health and addiction. In spite of these challenges, he was a happy dude and a popular guy.
Wally is preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Ann and Walter A. Westphal. He is survived by his son, Elijah Kirk Westphal; and three sisters, Robin Westphal, Melanie (Terry) Jensen, Tawna (Ric) Cummins, and their families.
Wally loved his rock music. He knew every word to every AC/DC song. Other favorites were, Jackyl, Theory of a Deadman and most recently, Everclear.
In lieu of services, anyone wishing to pay their respects is encouraged to help someone less fortunate.
Our family would like to thank the staff, and his community, at Safe Haven, for their thoughtful care and concern.
Wally was truly everyone's best friend!
