Our beloved mom, sister, aunt, daughter, cousin and friend, Carol Koelliker was called home earlier than expected, on May 2nd, 2020, In SLC, Utah.
Carol was born September 5th, 1945 to Donald R. and Blanche L in SLC. She was the 2nd oldest child of 6 kids. But also the bossiest, earning her the nickname of Queenie.
Carol was the most amazing mother, and grandmother. She graduated from South High School and went on to achieve an associates degree in nursing. She worked for some great Doctors, that she truly loved as an OBGYN nurse, Dr. Robert Romney, Dr. Dennis Hughes, and Dr. Scott Barton. She had so many friends and was truly blessed to carry those friendships through the years. Carol was the best nurse and role model. If you knew her, your life was touched by her in some way. She was so loved and would be tickled by the outpouring of those that are saddened by her loss. She loved crocheting, traveling the world, playing computer games, puzzles, Diet Mt Dew & BYU She also loved riding her jet ski, on her yearly vacations to Campland on the Bay, in San Diego where she spent much time on the beach working on her tan, and spending time with her family.
Carol loved her family and she loved her heavenly father. If you look at her Facebook page, you will see the love she had for both. She would tag herself in all of the family pictures. She had many callings in church, including Primary president, Relief Society president, and Young Womens president.
Carol was a compassionate person with a heart larger than life. If you needed her, she was there. She lived her life in service for others. She had an open door to anyone who needed it, as well as a shoulder to cry on.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Blanche, her big brother Donald Lee, brother in law, Richard Kennedy, sister in law Vicky Koelliker, her son in law, Travis Nielson, 2 nephews, Kelby Koelliker, and Josh Hansen. And many other close family members.
Carol is survived by her children, Robert Koelliker, Sara (Dustin) Smith, Tami Nielson, brothers and sisters, Naida Koelliker, Sharon (Stephen) Adams, Craig ( Joan) Koelliker, Leslie Kennedy, and Wayne Koelliker. Grandkids, Odyssey, Gentry, Tristen, Spencer, Dallyn and Xandyr, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her bonus sister, Julie Cowley
Graveside services will be held at Larkin Sunset Lawn, 1300 South 2350 East, SLC. Utah on Saturday, May 9th, at 2 with a brief gathering from 1-1:40 prior. Friends may call on Friday, May 8th from 6-8 at the same location. Due to Covid, masks are required, and social distancing will be observed.

Carol wasn’t just a perfect angel. She was better! she allowed always our group of friends to hang at their house. She only allowed safe activities for our group of friends. She was the best combination of fun and stern. We all respected her she went above and beyond to include Tami's friends as if we were family. That is what i felt when i was in their home.

I was very sad to hear about Carol’s passing. I worked with her at Pegus Research and she always brightened the day. She was so compassionate and caring. She will be greatly missed. 💙
Carol was such a friend to me and my family from Irving and South High a classmate, Penny and I reacquainted with Carol when we moved into her Sugar House neighborhood she and her family became part of our family. To her Kids and grandkids she was truly a Child of God. I will personally miss her smile and friendship
To be under the tutelage of Carol and sit at her knee for Gospel learning and application was indeed a privilege. She always taught that all women are mothers, if not biologically, then by virtue of their nurturing sensitivities. It is fitting that Mother’s Day is just around the corner, because I always think of her on that day. I will miss everything about Carol.
We will miss Carol so very much.. She was an amazing lady with so many beautiful qualities.. She had passed those beautiful qualities along to her kids..

I have known Carol for a short 3 years, but have enjoyed every moment of those years. She rests in peace with her family in heaven. She waits for us to join her. We will miss you.
I admired Carol for her kindness, strength, and testimony.
We sure did love Carol at Old Farm. She was amazing and will be truly missed.
Carol, an angel if there ever was one. Serving with her was wonderful and visiting with her…enjoying her unique mix of humor compassion and unlimited ability to love.

We express our deep sorrow and condolences at this time of Carols' passing. She was my Ob/Gyn office nurse for many years. She was kind to every patient and showed love and concern for each of them. She was very loyal, hard working and knowledgeable. The office staff and the other nurses and the patients families really benefitted from her calm, kind , caring nursing care. She had strong faith in the gospel and the Savior and we know she is at peace now being back together with her beloved mother and father. Carol, you were supposed to live forever. Oh, how I love you!!! I am so thankful for the memories that will last forever. A classy woman, devoted, loyal, loving, long-suffering, kind, intelligent, and beautiful in every way. I look forward to the grand reunion in heaven where we will one day all meet again. May God and all the angels in heaven surround your family with love at this difficult time of parting. Heaven bless you, dear friend. They probably already have you busy at work in the guardian angel department, a job you know all so well, but now you will be loving and blessing the ones you love from the other side of the veil.
